Common Core Kills Minds

Common Core Kills Minds

Years ago, a friend brought her daughter to me as a vestal sacrifice… just kidding.. she brought her because she was failing algebra as a senior in High School, and could not understand her books or class work.

I pulled out a 1840′s Mathematics book based on Euclid’s Elements(note), and told her to just sit and read, and then do the problems for each chapter and to call me if she needed help.

She never called me for help..

She got an “A” on her final exam, and passed the school year.

Common Core destroys a student’s of self-confidence and their faith in common sense. It is also repetitive conditioning of young minds to unquestioningly accept authority because reality becomes incomprehensible.

Common Core Kills Minds, but then, perhaps that was the point...

EDIT: 14 July 2017 Michael Snyder blogged 3 examples of this mind numbing program on the Economic Collapse Blog

Note: “Euclid’s Elements has been referred to as the most successful[5][6] and influential[7] textbook ever written. Being first set in type in Venice in 1482, it is one of the very earliest mathematical works to be printed after the invention of the printing press and was estimated by Carl Benjamin Boyer to be second only to the Bible in the number of editions published,[7] ” Wiki

“Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.” William Pitt, 1783 –  Liberty Quotes
